5-Day Tanzania Wildebeest Migration (July to September)

-GOWITOS SAFARI & HOLIDAYS-

This fantastic five-day safari will allow you to explore some of the best parks in northern Tanzania. You will visit Tarangire National Park on the first day. On the second day, you will visit one of the World’s Seven Wonders (Ngorongoro Crater). On the third and fourth days, you will have a game drive in the North Serengeti to witness the great migration and explore the Serengeti’s endless plains.

The safari starts from Arusha where your guide will come and pick you up from your reserved hotel and proceed to Tarangire National Park. You will proceed with a game drive in the park with your picnic lunches. After the game drive, you will proceed to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, which is the only source of water for the wild animals here during the dry season. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Eileen Tree Inn Lodge on a full-board basis.

Main Destination: Tarangire National Park

Today you will visit one of the Seven African Wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater. It was created when a huge volcano erupted two million years ago. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem; the crater has the highest concentration of animals anywhere in Africa.

After enough hours of game drive, you will proceed to Serengeti National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to many lion families, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, and many more species. Nowhere else offers a chance as good as this to spot the rare black rhinos.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Kontiki Africa Camp on a full-board basis.

You will wake up early to kick-start your day with a delicious breakfast. You’ll then embark on your journey towards the breathtaking Northern Serengeti, specifically near the Mara River, where the incredible Great Migration takes place. With the guidance of our experienced safari guide, you’ll explore the terrain and carefully choose the best spot to observe this awe-inspiring natural event. Get ready to witness this extraordinary spectacle from an optimal vantage point.

In Northern Serengeti around July to September thousands of wildebeests and zebras battle the strong currents and huge Nile crocodiles so as to reach the other side of the river, where they will head to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

The word Serengeti stems from the Maasai language and literally means endless plains.
